The Morpheus Quest is an expansive interactive story in the "Choose Your Own Adventure" style of gamebooks. To play, you simply read a passage, then click the option that corresponds with how you'd like to proceed, continuing in this way until you reach an ending.

This particular story is made to present as flash-fiction, with each "playthrough" taking only a few minutes. You can accumulate over twenty achievements as you read through the more than 400 endings, using the provided tools or playing through blind.

The setting uses Neil Gaiman's Sandman characters, which is morally questionable without his consent. That said, there's no profit being made from this, so perhaps he can forgive the transgression one day. I'm sorry, Neil.

The website itself was made entirely by BenSD using HTML5 and CSS for the design and a combination of PHP and JavaScript for coding. It's clumsy, it's sloppy, and best of all, it usually works; if you ever notice anything not working, send an email, carrier pigeon, or smoke signal so that it can be fixed.
